Prequalification Document - Assembly and Installation of Electrically Heat Traced Subsea Pipeline
Competition unique ID:
1104/8
Evaluation Mechanism:
QBS
Description:
This document constitutes the formal prequalification of firms for Pipe Laying Works for the Assembly and Installation of an Electrically Heat Traced Subsea Pipeline at Petrojam Limited’s Kingston Refinery. Petrojam is seeking to increase its asphalt export capacity, but is constrained by the limited draft available at the Antilles Dry Dock (See google image in figure 1 below). The Antilles Dry Dock currently has a maximum draft of approximately 4 meters and is located landside along the south-east corner of the refinery complex’s shoreline. Given the constraints at the Antilles Dry Dock, Petrojam intends to export asphalt from the Kingston Esso Dock (EKT) which is located some 1,300 ft. offshore and has a draft of 9.8 meters.
Due to the need to maintain the fluid state of asphalt during transfers, an electric heat traced subsea pipeline is to be installed to facilitate asphalt transfer between these two docks.
