Description:
The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) through the Ministry of Energy, Transport and Telecommunications (METT) has received funding from the Inter-American Development Bank, (IDB), and the European Union-Caribbean Investment Facility (EU-CIF) towards the cost of the Energy Management and Efficiency Programme (EMEP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for modernization of the Jamaica Electricity Book of Codes and associated regulatory frameworks. The activity shall be conducted through the Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method described in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-15 and is open to all firms from member countries of the Bank as defined in the above mentioned IDB’s policies. The Ministry of Energy, Transport and Telecommunications (METT) seeks to engage a consultant, which will support METT in modernizing the Book of Codes and develop the associated technical, regulatory, governance, and institutional frameworks necessary to support the safe, reliable, resilient, secure, and efficient operation of Jamaica's evolving electricity sector.
